Industries as diverse as automotive and smartphones simply cannot do without. At Trymax, we build the high-tech wafer-processing equipment used by semiconductor manufacturers. As a field service engineer you work in the frontline of wafer technology, supporting our growing client base. Are you up for the challenge? What will be your role? You’ll be installing, starting up and repairing systems at our clients’ facilities. In case of a service agreement, you’ll also carry out maintenance. Most of the first-line maintenance is performed by our clients’ in-house teams, though. That’s why you will be training those teams, as well as their operators. By carefully documenting system errors and your solutions, as well as advising clients about spare part management, you reduce down-times. And you’ll regularly meet with clients’ management to discuss progress. When you are not working on site or traveling, you will be at our headquarter in Nijmegen: providing technical support by email and telephone, preparing system upgrades and documentation or supporting colleagues. Our international Customer Support team is growing rapidly. The European service team is now eight strong. You will join our team in Nijmegen. You will be coached during your onboarding, which includes extensive training in the Netherlands to get acquainted with our systems and procedures. In addition, your colleagues provide you with on-the-job training. Your manager will be in touch with you on a regular basis to support you. Requirements Field Service EngineerWhat we expect from you You are passionate about our systems and are eager to learn about our latest updates and technology. Driven by keeping our clients operational, you deliver results. As you’ll be working both independently and with colleagues, you enjoy the balance between autonomy and teamwork. Your communication skills help you connect with colleagues, clients’ operators and managers alike. Most of the clients you support are located in Europe. But sometimes you may be called for jobs outside Europe, including the US or in Asia. Which is why you enjoy travelling! The knowledge and experience you bring to Trymax include: » A Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent by experience. You may also have gained this level of knowledge by experience. » Knowledge of multiple disciplines, such as mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, robotics, RF technology and computers. » Work experience in machine engineering or servicing, or the semiconductor industry is desirable, though not essential. » Working knowledge of English.
